從塔塔加登山口至排雲山莊，可經過86個人工棧道，有的長有的短，有木作也有石板，在僅能靠人力搬運的交通狀態下，這每一吋鋼筋水泥、鐵管木頭，都讓我們心懷感激。當能與施工舖設的人員交錯而過，都由衷的向他們說聲：「謝謝！」

兩點起床準備攻頂之際，因冷鋒面及颱風餘威下起了斗大的雨滴。雖已知道無法見到那日初的撼動，但仍想完成一趟攻頂之行。整裝代備至凌晨三點半，與香港隊的朋友及兩位領隊共22人，不畏風雨都想一睹玉山之巔。攻頂行程雖是鎩羽而歸，下山時讓淚水順著雨水滑落，但無論十年、二十年，還是百年之後，山峰依然會傲視群英，只有敢不敢再次挑戰的心而已。
